Where Are Santa Cruz Bikes Made?

Santa Cruz Bicycles are designed and made in Santa Cruz, California. It’s where we hire expert engineers, riders, and athletes who work together to create the most advanced bikes in the world. From the design and prototyping process to final assembly, we do it all here in our factory.

What Are Santa Cruz Bikes?

Santa Cruz Bicycles has been designing and manufacturing high-end mountain bikes since 1993. We were born in the heart of California’s Santa Cruz Mountains, and our love of riding is evident in every bike we make. From our XC race bikes to our enduro sleds, all of our models are built to handle everything.

What Kind of Riding Do Santa Cruz Bikes Do Best?

Santa Cruz mountain bikes are designed to handle everything from cross-country racing to enduro downhill shredding. Our frames are strong and lightweight, and our geometry is tuned to provide a stable, confident ride no matter how fast you’re riding. We also offer a full range of components and accessories so you can build your dream bike.

What Sets Santa Cruz Bikes Apart?

Santa Cruz is known for its attention to detail and relentless attention to testing and improvement. Our first aluminum frame was the XO-1, and we’ve continued to enhance it over the years with updated shapes and features. We’re constantly trying out the latest materials and components, using our unique understanding of riding styles and terrain to make bikes that ride better and last longer.

Santa Cruz is also well known for its commitment to rider support. We have one of the most extensive dealer networks in the industry. Our team of trained professionals is always happy to help you choose the most suitable bike and set it up for your riding style.

What Are Santa Cruz Bikes Made Of?

Santa Cruz bikes are made from a mixture of aluminum alloys, carbon fiber, and titanium. Our metal alloy choices expand over time to include the finest materials for each bike and riding style. We’re constantly experimenting with various shapes and formulations of these materials to provide you with the lightest, stiffest, and most durable frames possible.

How Are Santa Cruz Bikes Made?

Our carbon fiber frames are built in a process we call “monocoque.” This means that the frame’s tubes and junctions are molded as a single piece. We use this construction method because it results in the strongest, lightest, and most durable frame possible.

Our cast titanium frames are made from a high-grade, heat-treated alloy that provides all the benefits of steel with less weight and increased corrosion resistance.

How Are Santa Cruz Mountain Bikes Designed?

In our way. We don’t take cues from other manufacturers or fashion fads – we create bikes based on how we want to ride, what feels comfortable to us, and what we think will make the biggest difference in your overall experience on the bike. We believe that this “from the ground up” design philosophy yields bikes that are more versatile, durable, and fun to ride.

What Kind of Riding Does Santa Cruz Bikes Suit?

Santa Cruz mountain bikes are designed for a wide range of riding styles, from XC racing to Enduro. Our mountain bikes are meant to be ridden on your favorite trails and make you want to explore more. If they can survive the way we handle them here at Santa Cruz Bicycles, they’ll probably last a long time. Maybe even if that means jumping them, flying them off cliffs, or smashing them into rocks.

We also build a full line of road bikes and townies for getting around town, commuting, and just having fun.

Do Santa Cruz Bikes Come With a Warranty?
Yes. We offer a lifetime warranty on our frames and a two-year warranty on most components.
